Used Golf Ball FAQ

Are used golf balls as good as new?

For most golfers, yes. A used ball with an undamaged cover plays like a new one, and independent testing found that balls recovered from ponds lost little more than a yard of carry. Cover damage is what affects performance, so we grade every ball on cover condition.

What do Mint, Grade A and Grade B mean?

Mint balls look like new, with little or no wear and their original colour and shine. Grade A balls look like a new ball after one to three holes, with light scuffs and minor cosmetic marks that don’t affect play. Grade B balls look like a new ball after nine holes, with moderate scuffs and discolouration that still don’t affect play. All grades may include player markings or logos. See How We Grade for full details.

How much do used golf balls cost in Canada?

A dozen used Titleist Pro V1s costs $26.99 in Grade B, $34.99 in Grade A and $47.99 in Mint. New Pro V1s sell for about $78 a dozen at Canadian retailers, so Grade B costs about a third of the new price.

Where do your golf balls come from?

Our golf balls are recovered from golf courses, then cleaned, sorted by brand and model, and graded before they’re listed for sale.

What are the best used golf balls to buy?

Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x are our best sellers and suit golfers with faster swings who want spin around the greens. Golfers with slower swing speeds usually do better with a softer ball such as Callaway Supersoft, Titleist Velocity or Srixon Soft Feel, which cost less and suit a slower swing.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes. We ship anywhere in Canada, and ground shipping is free on orders over $99.99.

Can I sell you my used golf balls?

Yes, we buy used golf balls. See We Buy Golf Balls for how it works.
